A Travellerspoint blog

Easter Saturday in Newmarket

We got up really late and my aunt wanted my uncle to go get her some groceries. I was feeling like I needed to go out a little bit, so Keith and I volunteered to go to the giant Canadian Superstore to pick up some ingredients for smoked salmon sauce.

By the time we got back, my mom and dad and my uncle's sister/husband had arrived. We didn't do much all day besides eat chocolates, baklava, smoked salmon, insanely delicious prime rib grilled on the BBQ, potatoes and roast vegetables, but not in that order.

We decided to go for a little tromp around the neighbourhood. I saw some kids who had neglected their bicycle, so I picked one up and pretended to steal it. They didn't really believe me, until I started running away with it. I ended up putting it down, and that's when they came out. Two of them got on their bikes and started following us, so I took a picture of them. That seemed to frighten them and they went back home.

After our walk, we went back home, had like, three kinds of cake, my mom and dad went home, and then we watched Slumdog Millionaire while drinking Pina Coladas.
