The Marauder bites the dust

OK, so I keep going and end up in Cleveland, I fill the bike up with some more gas, and then what?! it just STOPS on the I-90, I am forced to pull over and then walk back into town. I start the bike again miraculously, and try and get back on the highway. It gets up to about 100 km/h and predictably, breaks again. Great, now what? I go back into town again, knowing that I can travel slowly, just fine. I figure I have to change my route, so I find an internet cafe, since I can't find a map anywhere to buy. I find a place called the Phoenix Cafe by asking a guy at a gas station where to get wifi. Some guy there knows about motorcycles, so he looks at mine, and says it should be fine, from what he can see. So, I decide to go to some kind of mechanic somewhere. I find an auto parts dealership, and call around from there.
"I'm stuck, this really sucks," I say to Keith (groan) the nice guy who helps me out at the store.
"Yeah, that's how I got stuck in Cleveland, I was on a roadtrip from SanFrancisco and busted a tailpipe, then I just never left. Yep, it sucks." I can't tell if he's being sarcastic or not. I decide not to ask.
