Finding a way out

Dear readers, I have been on the lookout for either a new job, or a cheap way to hitch it out of here, and it seems I have found it.

After attending to about five interviews and posting a note about hitching a ride with someone in the post office, I found my own way home. And it does not involve a plane.

My former boss called me today to angrily tell me to vacate the premises of the apartment I am staying in, within 24 hours.

I didn't think that was right, so I looked up the legislation and it's true, even though I quit myself and my employer was providing me with free accommodations, I have the right to stay here for one week after quitting.

I sent him a copy of said legislation and he hasn't replied. The only person who can kick me out now, is the sheriff, and he can't do that until an eviction notice has been sent. I'll be long gone and living on a Caribbean island before that happens.

In the meantime, I looked for other jobs, I had quite a few interviews at businesses that provide accomodations to their employees and they all look like a lot of fun. I could stay, or I could go, it's all up to me.

Another thing I did, while I was walking around handing out resumes, was inquire with the fruit man, who seems to travel a lot.

He informed me that yes, he does take passengers from time to time, so right now, my plan is to take the truck with him to Whitehorse on Friday.

From there, who knows where I'll end up. Adios for now.
