To Alaska and back

The next day, the embassy was hosting a waffle making party. Lots of people gathered round to share the joys of crispy cake smothered in whipped cream, real maple syrup and fresh berries.

After the breakfast, everyone sort of lazed around and began breaking off to go play hockey, etc. etc. I had no skates and was at a loss of what to do.

It was Gavin's idea to head over to Alaska so that I could check another state off of my "been there" list.

He said he'd let me borrow his car, without really knowing me, but I asked Peter to come along, since it felt a little weird, just taking someone's car for a drive into another country.

He had to go to work, so Peter and I dropped him off and then went to America.

When we got there, there was nothing open, so basically, we just headed back...

Afterwards, there was a party nearby, Casey was going away to India with her boyfriend. It was nice until we got home, and I was mildly accused of stealing a pile of skirts from the hostess... trust me lady, I don't want to carry any more crap than I already have!
