Catch the Amtrak to California

So after the big Couchsurfing party, I headed to NYC with Nick to catch the Amtrak.
He wanted to go to see a live version of a podcast he likes at a literary bar in the Bowery. So, I was down of course.
We also stopped in and saw Vernon, and then had our lunch of knishes on the high line. I found the high line to be a little underwhelming, and overrun with tourists, but still it's kind of neat how a whole community can come together and create something so different for their city.
Later, we went to the podcast show, (Keith and the Girl) which was pretty funny. I actually won a backpack and shot glass in this weird bingo game they had and then we sang karaoke at the end of it all.
Then, Nick went back home and I continued on to Vernon's house. By the time I got there, it was late, so we just had a quick beer and then went to sleep.
