A Travellerspoint blog

To the other coast!

I woke up this morning wayyyyyyyyyy before everyone else. When there was nothing left to do on the blog and email front, I sat down with a random Korean dude.

He told me he couchsurfed in Ottawa before with someone named Dave. I'm like Dave... Shugar?

Yeah! How did you know? Oh, he's my neighbour! Wow! Couchsurfing is awesome.

We immediately took a picture together and sent it off to Dave. So crazy!

When everyone woke up, we took Russ to the airport and then went straight to the train station to go to Ulsan. I didn't see much of Seoul, but that's OK with me.

The KTX trains go 300 km/h! We sped through the leafy green mountains and got to Ulsan in the stifling heat. What else would you expect right?

On the train, Dave and I were talking about the last night in Seoul and what exactly happened. Turns out my intuition was right. All those people were total snobs and ditched Russ, Francois and Dave as soon as they got to the pub they were going to!

Dave was sad to leave his brother for an indefinite amount of time, so we just chilled for a while in his apartment and went for some Korean barbecue. I have to say, it was better in Toronto.... and cheaper...
