Lazy-ish Sunday

After the funtime of barbecue, we kind of passed out and then woke up late too. I probably screamed "It's HOT" a few times in my sleep, because summer is now, officially ON. Watch out homeboyz.

Denis had the CTV crew on their way over at about 2 p.m. so we chomped on some more bagels and headed out for a walk around the 'hood. Mike needed a coffee. I was wearing this awful orange t-shirt that I packed, it was one of Chris' that he left at my house, and it totally restricted all form of movement in my arms. I have no idea how he wore this t-shirt, it just totally weirded me out and I would have a little spaz attack at random times. I could not wear this shirt on TV. There would be no way.

As we were walking back, Denis came up to us on his little Vespa to tell us that the camera crew was coming over earlier than expected, so we headed back and I changed my shirt! A nice man named Paul interviewed us and I don't think I got to plug TravelPod, I tried my best though. I mentioned TP a couple times, but I don't think he got it on camera. I was caught off guard by this whole thing, a little bit. I kind of mumbled something about Couchsurfers being "my people" and I went on and on about the reference and vouching system. Maybe it was OK. I guess we'll see...

After that, it was time to go to the obligatory tam tam drum circle. We walked all the way there, then it was time for the obligatory smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's. These Sundays are starting to feel repetitive, no? I had mine with a black cherry pop and a pickle. Mike enjoyed his too, but not the pickle, because pickles are "the devil's food".

We walked all the way back, and found Denis cooking up some fresh fish for dinner. We were stuffed and also ready to go, so we said goodbye and headed back to Ottawa. Mike was nice enough to drive me back, because he had never been to "see Parliament". By the time he left, he had managed to down a few pints at the Clock Tower, but still never got to see Parliament.

He slept over at my house and I really wanted to make out. We did for like two seconds and it didn't work. He just laughed at me and told me to go back to bed.
