Just hiking... I guess
12.07.2013
So I left right after school to meet Yun Gil in Seoul. I havent seen him in a long time and I knew it was not going to be a fun weekend after he couldn't understand me when I said "what did you do all summer?" And when he attempted to force feed me dukkbokki at the bus station. Yah I know about Korean culture and food but I don't want any of it on my weekends, thanks. Anyway, we drove to Taebaek in silence and at the bathroom stop the bus almost left without him. I almost didn't say anything because I was already annoyed, but at the last minute i felt bad for him so i got the guy next to me to yell stop at the bus driver. We got a room in taebaek and thank god he slept on the floor without me having to persuade him.

The next day we headed out to Dangun altar. It was a long hike up and it seemed like an even longer hike down. It was super foggy so it made the ancient worship site even more mysterious to me.
On the way down from the mountain, I wanted to talk about my plans for Monday. I needed to decide between going to an interview in Gunsan or not. It was real decision time and a good friend is someone who lets you talk and helps you with advice etc etc. needless to say he couldn't understand a word I said and I was so frustrated I burst into tears, which made me even more frustrated because he could understand even less about why I was crying. He probably thought it was his fault because after that he basically started treating me like a child. Constantly asking me if I wanted something to eat or drink. He even tried force feeding me like a baby when I said no. Ugh.
From Taebaek we went to Guin sa. I don't even know how we got there I was now being led around like a puppy at this point, not even caring what happened. I just needed to either talk to someone or be left alone. Having a non comprehending travel companion did not help. I told him I wanted to be alone and he said OK but he made no attempt to leave.
This temple was a little creepy because its some kind of Buddhist sect that worships the founder. His likeness is represented as Buddha in gold at the very top of the mountain. No photos allowed. We went to get a hotel in danyang and I fell right asleep. Yungil kept pestering me to eat but I told him I was fine with yogurt and went to bed. He stayed up who knows how long blasting some stupid Korean dramas on tv
