Exploring

Dun Yun (the cashier lady) volunteered to buy me breakfast and also take me around the city in the morning. Nice, right!

I asked her if she could find the tofu jelly that I had last time and she said of course, but then she brought me to a plain old noodle hut for breakfast. So we went walking while the people trying to sell us pictures of ourselves in Miao costumes followed us around and bothered us. I keep trying to find that delicious tofu I had in Dehang, but I'm afraid it might never happen again :( She tried to tell me what I wanted were various things that weren't what I wanted. I don't think she knew what I was talking about.

She tried to tell me things in English, but nothing made sense, except for when she pointed at the roof tiles and explained that they were for preventing the spread of fires. When Dun Yun had to go back to work, I stayed out and bought a ticket to wander around some more. Usually you have to pay to get into the old city, which includes entrance to the various historical things and also a short boat ride down the river. They push you around like you are in Venice.

I was super tired again so I bought some fried tofu and sweet potato for dinner and went to bed at maybe 8 p.m.
