Changyang is Guilin but better
11.08.2015
In the morning, Carolyn took me to the bus station and sent me on my way to the river.
For $40, you can have a really great day cruising up and down the river. There were also two thigh killing hikes with at least 1000 steps total.
The first place is the home of the Tujia minority. There's a lookout over the river and it's really beautiful. The second stop is a small temple in a cave. Also nice.
Carolyn told me people say the river looks like Guilin, and they would be correct. It was a lot less stressful but just as breathtaking as Guilin was. Guilin was my second favorite part of China last year, so Changyang is now beating it out for the second top spot.
When I got back Carolyn was home and she cooked me dinner. Delicious Szechuan cabbage and pork. She lived in Chengdu for a while and perfected the art of Szechuan cooking. We were too lazy to go out so we watched Casino and went to sleep.
