A Travellerspoint blog

Back to Manaus

We boated and drove back to Manaus after lunch and arrived back at the hostel at 4 p.m. where I met some nice ladies who were going out to the jungle the next day. I helped them decide what to take and warned them about high expectations. The older woman from London worked at an NGO and so I gave her my card in case she knew about any reliable volunteer teaching positions.

She was interesting because she's been doing international relations forever and now works for a trust deciding how to allocate funds all over the world.

After all that talking, I was too tired to go and get food so I just passed out at about 9.
