Early morning hike and nursery rhymes

Today we woke up at 5:30 to go on a hike! And we didn't even see the sunrise. Then we came back and did absolutely nothing except cut Campbell's Soup labels and listen to my walkman. We ate lunch and slept till 3:30 p.m. Then, we took a tour of Doe Lake. Deserted Doe Lake. Oh and did I forget to mention the millions of flies attacking my face So we came back in a small hurry. Then, we literally locked ourselves up in the chalet for fear of the bugs. I then cooked the delicious dish of Sloppy Joes! Yum! Just now I finished Guides Own for tomorrow morning. After that we played this game of pretending to be in a nursery rhyme.

Trip to Doe Lake

Today I rode in a squished van for six hours. SIX! With the most annoying kid in the world. Donna. I plan on doing as much as I can to cause her problems. We stopped at Weber's to eat hamburgers, they were good. When we got here, Ana and Naomi decided not to include me in their room. Thanks a lot guys. Needless to say, I was pissed. Anyway, I am now going to bed. It is exactly 12:34 a.m. If I go to bed now I will have exactly 4:56 hours of sleep. I want to go home so bad. I should be at Joe's show, rockin' to the tuns of Cumberhaze, trippin' out to King Plum

Soho and the Today Show

Today we woke up at 6 a.m. as planned and we walked half an hour to the cathedral only to find church was cancelled (aww, too bad). To pass time, we went down to NBC studios and saw the Today Show live. After that, we took the city bus to the Whitney Museum of American Art. It was so awesome! The video art was the best! After an hour and a half of that, we took the subway to Soho and we ate at New Era Cafe and the Australian cashier told us where to get cool clothes. There was no room inside at the tables so we had to eat outside and people were looking at us like we were homeless. Then we went to those cool stores the cashier told us about. I got a shirt and a dress! On the subway back we met a Canadian guy in a kilt and he was really cool. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. (chicken breast). Guess there really wasn't one of Billy Corgan's guitars there. After that I got Ben and Jerry's Phish Food ice cream and we ate it in a small cafe. We walked to Licoln Centre and sat and talked for a while, then we went back to the hotel, packed up our bags and boarded the bus to go back home. :( Oh well, it was a great trip! The best one I've had so far. Too bad I didn't get to meet Zach though.

The Met and Smokey Joe's Cafe

Today we got to wake up at 8 a.m. We ate breakfast (Snackwells, Toblerone). We dragged ourselves to the Guggenheim Museum, which was shaped like a snail and was really boring. I bought a cool little toy where you can change the shapes. We went to go eat lunch and did I mention I wore shorts that day and it was extremely cold! After that, we took a bus to yet another museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art. We had an audio tour of the European art which was boring again. Paolo and I walked around together and got so lost! We came back to the hotel after that and got dress up for Smokey Joe's Cafe. It was sooooooo bad. But everyone else like it except for Erin, Lindi and I! I couldn't believe it! There was no story line at all! We ate at a little Italian diner and ordered delicious ravioli! Then after Smokey Joe's Cafe we went to Times Square...again and I didn't buy anything. We walked back to the hotel and got to bed at 1 a.m. knowing we'll have to wake up at 6 a.m. the next day.

Strawberry Fields and MOMA

Today we woke up at 7 a.m. and had breakfast in our room (bagels). We took a tour with our tour guide, Scott. We went to Strawberry Fields, saw a mosaic dedicated to John Lennon, went to a cathdral and Chinatown. Then we went to 6th Ave. at Macy's and The Museum of Modern Art which was a lot of fun, there was this guy from Germany that did photomontages. Then we went to the United Nations which was boring. Then we walked to the Au bon pain. Amanda is getting so annoying, we went to go talk to this guy that edits music videos and he invited us to his house but we didn't go. Amanda was like, so retarded, she started to walk away and pretended to not know us. Then the bus driver took us to the Empire State building, it definitely wasn't as high as I remember it being, we were king of rushed through too. We walked to Times Square and shopped, I got a couple CDs and a mag from the UK. I saw a Pumpkins book but I didn't buy it and I saw Rob bought the same one. Shh, don't tell him I didn't but it, he still doesn't know, oh well... I'm going to bed now! Good night. Listening to my new CDs.

Art club trip to NYC

Today I had to wake up at 3 a.m. I almost missed the bus! We drove all day and stopped at various McDonald's along the way. Which was definitely exciting. We watched some movies. The Truth About Cats and Dogs and That Thing You Do. I love that movie. I mostly hung around Lindi, Erin, Rob, Kevin, Holly and Traci. If the bus ride is this fun, I can't wait for the actual trip. After we got to the hotel, we went to NBC studios and got standby tickets for Conan O'Brien. Then we ate at Roy Rogers (fish filet), went back to the hotel and then we walked back to NBC and didn't get into the show. Then, we took the subway to lower Manhattan and then a ferry to Staten Island. We saw the Statue of Liberty and took the ferry back. We walked to Pier 17, had supper at Unos (delicious pizza) and went shopping at the mall there and I bought cool Japanese cartoon stuff for Shylo and Lisa. We took the subway back at the World Trade Center and finally got back to the hotel at 10:30 p.m.
