Mom and Dad's anniversary

Today it was my mom and dad's anniversary. Everyone's making such a big deal abut it and dad wn't stop talking about their honeymoon. I can't take it anymore. They took us out for ice cream so Mom and Dad could be "alone together". (This is the part where I start to puke). There were so many hot guys in the city. I didn't go talk to them cause I was with all these old people (gross). We came back, I played some tunes, then I went to bed. Nighty night.

Missing home

Today we went shopping in Lakefield, a cute little town. I bought a new necklace. I read my book all day today and I finally finished it. Aaron better read it now. I'll make him take it to Ottawa with him. Starting to miss everyone... Shylo... Lisa... Aaron... good times. Can't wait to get home. Only 1 1/2 more days. Right now, we're docking at some small island in the middle of nowhere. My dad is having rouble (as usual). He shouldn't be driving. He's terrible, anyone else could do a better job. I could do a better job.

The Trent canal

Today they let us sleep till 10 a.m.! Cool. Everybody except Pam lady left the boat so that meant I could do whatever I wanted to. I took a og around the marina, skipped. Just my morning exercises. Then I read my book till everyone came back, with a box of donuts in their hands. Yum. ater we stopped off at the tourist centre for the Trent canal and watched a (boring) movie. We docked in Lakefield and played cards till 11 p.m. I slept good last night (for once). It was nice.

Hanging out in Peterborough

Today we did a lot. Went to Peterborough, shopped at the mall and downtown, and ate at Olde Beer something or other. It was really gross. On our way there I saw the sign for the Molson Canadian Blind Date! I wanted to sit outside and see if I could hear who the mystery band is. So mom promised she would go with me. We didn't get to hear any of it but on the way back, I guess it finally hit me how much I miss out by not having any siblings. I cried for an hour and so did mom. She went back inside the boat but I felt so bad I didn't want to go inside and have a water gun fight with everyone else. So, I stayed outside with my new astronomy book, while everyone was screaming inside. I feel sad and empty right now, maybe I'll continue tomorrow, maybe I won't.

Sleeping on the roof of the houseboat

We drove all day again... Boring again... We went down the big hydrawluc Peterborough lock. Big fun! Then we parked our boat and didn't do anything. We ate, payed games. Me and mom slept on the roof and watched the constellations. The mosquitos were horrible. I'm still itchy. They bit me all over my face! I look terrible.

Boating on the canal to Peterborough

Today we took off on our cruise. We were driving all day! It was pretty boring. I passed the time though. Played guitar, read, listened to music, painted my toenails. Great. We finally docked at about 4 or 5 p.m. We ate and Andrea and I walked around and watched people fish. We ate supper, cabbage rolls and then... it rained... a lot. I think I screwed up my stereo though, it was outside. There is no electricity to try it out on.

Houseboat trip

Today, we drove four hours to get to Pigeon Lake and load up our houseboat. Tomorow we are going to Peterborough. Anyways, right now I am writing while my parents and godparents are drunk and talking about where Len shoud put his rod. They talk about us being immature! When I came here I thought the kids were going to be annoying. Now it seems like the adults are going to be more annoying than them. Oh well, I hope it will be a really relaxing week. I need it after this semester, I just finished writing four exams in three days! Well anyway, I'm going to bed now. Hopefully (yawn) I'm tired. Goodnight.
